The context of contentment is your relationship with the Lord. If He isn’t enough, nothing else will ever be!
Make 2023 your year of cultivating deeper INTIMACY-WITH the Lord and not IMMEDIACY-FROM Him.
As we approach the new year, we don't need more resolutions; we need more resolve.
Within each of us, there's this sense in which we feel that if we do more, see more, or achieve more, we'll feel content.
Contentment has a context
The context of contentment isn't determined by what's internal like somehow I can love myself and find myself and focus on myself and work on myself and think about myself (that's called narcissism).
The context of contentment is neither external. Another relationship won't do it, more money won't do it, and more followers or dopamine won't do it.
The context of contentment is our relationship with the eternal.
